Don Ricoss

Karandasj

His 152 Jumping index is 4th best of all jumpers in Holland. Scores at his stallion testing were all 7’s and 8+’s. He is a stallion that has good movement as well as great jumping talent. Nice rectangular model and a very modern type. His get include Who Pay’s the Bill: winner of the championship of 5 year olds in Ireland; Polien: winner of the FPP final. 4 of the 8 finalists were sired by Karandasj. In England Shearwater Oliier under David McPherson and Orion under Sophie Tobin created a furore. Many many more offspring at the top of sport awarded him the “Keur” predicate. Performance test champion Karandasj, made his international debut at a very young age with Roelof Bril. The last few years Karandasj has been performing very successfully internationally ridden by Willem Greve: placed in the Grand Prix’s of Zuidlaren, Aachen, Hengelo, Sires of the World competition, etc. Karandasj’s sire Fedor achieved many successes in international showjumping ring just as his famous grandsire, Darco. Dam, Corrie is likewise the dam of Kahlua who won a silver medal at the Pan Am. Games in 1999 with Eric Lamaze. The offspring of Karandasj are also performing with ‘that bit extra’. “Who pays the bill” winner of the 5 year old Championship in Ireland, “Burbies Barber” Champion Burghley, “Polien” winner of the FFP-plan Final (4 out of 8 finalists were progeny of Karandasj). Karandasj stands at the top of the index. Karandasj has been awarded the predicate ‘keur’ on the basis of his successful progeny.

Don Frederico

Don Frederico: 331-08314-97; Donnerhall /Cleopatra(Consul); 1997; 17.h (171cm); Black Hanoverian Stallion; Overall 141.04. Don Frederico won the 1999 Hanoverian stallion approval in Verden and came second in the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf . Don Frederico was the top dressage producing stallion in 2005, 2006 and 2007, 2008, 2009 with a current breeding index of 148. This is an indicator that his resulting offspring will have a predisposition for dressage.

Voltaire

VOLTAIRE an International showjumper was bred to perform . He is the result of crossing the two outstanding bloodline FURIOSO II and GOTTHARD . He showed his huge talent on the international circuit in Calgary , Stockholm , Lanaken , Helsinki , Wembley and in 1989 winning the Grand Prix Of Berlin .Votaire has reached second place in the World Rankings for showjumping sires .

Donnerhall

The name Donnerhall is synonymous with dressage breeding.  Ridden by Karen Rehbein, Donnherhall was the most successful dressage stallion of his time, winning dozens of Grands Prix, Grand Prix Specials, and also winning in the comparatively new Musical Freestyle competitions.  He was second in his performance test at Adelheidsdorf with a score of 131.2.  (Unfortunately the split scores are unavailable) Donnerhall has the highest dressage index of all stallions ranked on the WBFSH rankings with a 271, and he has produced more than 70 approved sons, 84 SPS daughters, and many competition horses.  His most well known stallion sons are probably Blue Hors Don Schufro, Don Primero, De Niro, and Davignon I. His stallion son Damon Hill FRH is currently enjoying immense popularity in Westphalen breeding circles, and his success in the FEI Young Horse classes with Ingrid Klimke has been a stepping stone to a winning international career.

Donnerhall offspring and grand-offspring inherit their sire's incredible rideability, as well as honest, forward temperaments, and the strength to handle collected movements.  He crosses best on mares with a high percentage of Thoroughbred blood, and one of the "magic crosses" in dressage breeding is Donnerhall x Pik Bube I.

Weltmeyer

What more can be said about Weltmeyer? He is a legend. As the AHS put it, "Weltmeyer continues to almost single-handedly reshape the Hanoverian breed." He was the 1986 winner of the stallion licensing in Verden, and the 1987 winner of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. In the same year Weltmeyer also won the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses in Warendorf. In 1988 he was honored in Verden as best stallion of his age-group and awarded with the "Freiherr von Stenglin-Prize". One year later he became DLG Champion 1989 in Frankfurt. And last but not least he became "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" in 1998. As of today, Weltmeyer has produced 70 licensed sons, all of them are excellent stallions. A study of the pedigrees of many internationally prominent Hanoverian dressage horses reveals that many are either by sons of Weltmeyer or out of one of his daughters. At the 2002 Ratje Niebuhr-Show, Weltmeyer was the leding sire. Out of 51 mares which placed first through third in 17 classes, Weltmeyer sired eight, including champion SPS Wiami and and reserve champion Wicke. Overall, his blood was present in one third of all the mares, by from 25% to 50% percent. When it comes to capacity for dressage and the temperament necessary for a top competitor, this stallion simply cannot be beaten. In 2005, Weltmeyer received a Breeding Value Index of 152 points, with an assurance of 99% heritability, from the German Equestrian Federation.
